National photo exhibition opens

A national photo exhibition "The area of Wihwa Island on the northwestern part of the country, which has undergone a radical turn in the great era of Kim Jong Un" opened in Pyongyang to show the change of the area of Wihwa Island which has emerged as a special base for regional development and symbol of innovative rejuvenation under the wise leadership of the Central Committee of the great Workers' Party of Korea.

On display at the venue of the exhibition are photos dealing with the immortal revolutionary exploits of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who turned the flood-hit areas into a paradise of happiness where the people's dreams and ideals come true.

Photos showing modern houses, the largest-ever modern greenhouse farm, vegetable science research centre, landscape peculiar to the island area with a sea of rape flowers and nocturnal scene in the area of Wihwa Island and others of the farm town of culture built under the care of the Party are decorating the venue of the exhibition.

An opening ceremony took place at the Okryu Exhibition House on June 29.

Present at the ceremony were Vice-premier Jon Sung Guk, officials concerned and working people in Pyongyang.

At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the venue of the exhibition.
