Young people in Pyongyang volunteer for service at major worksites
June 30, 2026Dozens of young men and women in Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK, have volunteered to work at major workplaces of socialist construction.
Young people in Kangdong County vowed to work at the county construction brigade.
Youth league members in the districts of Songyo and Ryongsong decided to work at the Kangdong Combined Greenhouse Farm.
Youths in Taesong and Sunan districts applied for jobs at the water supply and sewerage management station and irrigation management station.
A meeting was held on June 26 to congratulate the volunteers. Present there were officials concerned, youth league officials and youth and students.
Certificates of volunteering were awarded to the volunteers and a congratulatory address and speeches were made.
Youth and students presented bouquets of flowers to the volunteers leaving for the worksites to implement the Party's decisions, and saw them off.
