Results of state affairs reviewed in terms of people’s laughter
June 30, 2026On the occasion of the Second Plenary Meeting of the Ninth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, we recollect again the policies adopted and enforced by the Workers’ Party of Korea and the DPRK government.
It makes us understand once again that the result of any policy for any sector was reviewed in terms of the people’s laughter.
Not only the capital but also regions and rural communities resound with people’s laughter as they receive modern dwelling houses gratis and people are enjoying a new civilization to their heart’s content at excellent bases for leisure activities, including the Wonsan Kalma Coastal Tourist Area and the Onpho Working People’s Holiday Camp, which they never imagined previously.
The country put forward it as an eternal state policy to take full responsibility for the supply of essential things to the students and stubbornly implemented it so that the students and children throughout the country have been provided with a variety of school things, including school uniforms, shoes, satchels and notebooks, and thanks to the childcare policy and the law on childcare dairy products are supplied to children of all nurseries and kindergartens across the country every day. Thus they are full of happy laughter.
And rural people are always full of happy laughter as the implementation of the “Regional Development 20x10 Policy” has ushered in a new era of regional transformation for liquidating the centuries-old backwardness of the countryside: Regional-industry factories produce special products as good as those produced by centrally-run factories and they lead a cultural life at leisure complexes like those in urban areas and receive advanced medical services at modern hospitals.
This is the reality of the country which translates the dream and ideals of the people into reality with absolute and unconditional service while administering politics for the people.
The respected General Secretary
What were dealt with most and set as primarily important policy tasks at major Party and state meetings during the eighth term of the Party Central Committee were such urgent problems, whose solution was awaited and welcomed by all the people, as those of dwelling houses, condiments, essential consumer goods, food and school uniforms.
When the General Secretary set forth the task of building 10 000 modern flats in the capital every year, discussed the problem of remodelling and perfecting the irrigation system of the country and announced his plan for creating a new history of change in the northwestern part of the country, many officials expressed surprise, thinking of the difficult situation of the country. He, however, took revolutionary steps to have all the projects carried out exactly.
In those days he examined tens of thousands of architectural formation plans and designs and continued his field guidance tours in the face of midsummer heat, intense cold of midwinter and muddy roads in the rain.
The reality in which undertakings welcomed by the people are adopted as the policies of the state and the relevant results are reviewed in terms of the people’s laughter is enhancing their pride in the cause of Korean-style socialism led by the General Secretary and their love for the DPRK, a genuine people’s country.
