Conferences of regional headquarters of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) were held in different parts of Japan to discuss the issue of thoroughly implementing the decisions of the 26th Congress of Chongryon.

The 26th Conference of the Osaka Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon took place at Osaka Korean Middle and High School on June 7.

Present there were Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, and deputies elected at units of all levels under the headquarters.

The national anthem of the DPRK was played at the conference.

Read out at the conference was a congratulatory message from the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK to the 26th Congress of Chongryon.

A report on the work of the Executive Committee of the Osaka Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon was followed by speeches.

Pak Ku Ho made a concluding speech.

Noting that the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un in his letter to Chongryon on its 70th founding anniversary set the task to develop Chongryon into a body putting the compatriots above all and serving them faithfully, with the coming decade till its 80th founding anniversary as a new struggle period, he stressed that all the organizations under Chongryon should redouble their efforts to protect the compatriots' community and further promote the patriotic movement.

A letter to the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un was adopted at the conference.

The 26th Conference of the Tokyo Metropolitan Headquarters of Chongryon took place at the Central Hall of Chongryon in Tokyo on June 13.

Present there were Pak Ku Ho and deputies elected at units of all levels under the Tokyo Metropolitan Headquarters.

Similar conferences were held by more than 10 regional headquarters of Chongryon, including Hokkaido, Kyoto, Aichi, Yamaguchi and Chiba prefectural headquarters.
