Sports contest of revolutionary schools held
June 21, 2026The Sports Contest of Revolutionary Schools-2026 took place from June 17 to 19.
The contest brought together players selected from Mangyongdae, Chilgol, Nampho and Saenal revolutionary schools.
Among the spectators were Ju Chang Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, other officials of the WPK Central Committee, officials of the youth league and armed forces organs and teaching staff and students of the revolutionary schools.
The participants in the contest, divided into Myohyangsan, Kumgangsan, Kuwolsan and Chilbosan teams, played various sports and amusement games.
They displayed team spirit, power of unity, sports techniques they acquired in ordinary times and good sportsmanship.
The events of military games, which showed the shooting skills of students, drew admiration and applause from the spectators.
Players displayed their competitive spirit in such ball games as football and basketball.
The amusement games were held amid the enthusiastic cheers of rooters.
In the contest, Mangyongdae Revolutionary School came first in the boys’ category and Chilgol Revolutionary School in the girls’ category.
At the awards ceremony, pennants and citations were awarded to the excellent teams.
