With the regional and rural construction gaining momentum, provinces, cities and counties step up their efforts to lay a solid foundation for producing finishing materials.

South Hamgyong Province increases the production of tiles, plastic sashes, paints and other materials needed for rural construction by expanding the production capacity of the Songchongang Tile Factory and other finishing materials production units.

The province added a metal fittings production base to a daily necessities factory and a water supply pipe production base to a plastic processing factory.

Cities and counties in the province also build their own production bases.

Kumya, Jongphyong, Hamju and other counties are setting up production processes whose production capacities are large enough to fully meet their regional demands and whose levels are as high as those of the centrally-run factories.

As the experience of South Hamgyong Province has been generalized to other provinces and their successes are shared, the production bases of finishing materials have been newly built or renovated at high speed and normalize production in all provinces.
