The participants in the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Korean Children’s Union had sports and amusement games on June 5.

Among the spectators were Ju Chang Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and officials of the youth league.

Paek Un Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a speech.

Then the sports and amusement games began.

The players and rooters displayed a strong competitive spirit and enthusiasm in different games including running with balls on head and under arms and tug of war.

Every game vividly reflected the bold spirit and cheerful appearance of the players who are growing up to be pillars of the country, bringing their hopes and talents into full bloom.

The Korean schoolchildren from Japan who participated in the games together with students of the motherland were also filled with joy.

The schoolchildren’s Taekwon-Do demonstration decorated the end of the sports and amusement games.

At the end of the games, the standings were announced and citations were awarded to successful teams.
