“Let us always be ready for the socialist motherland!” and “Let us learn for Korea!”—these are slogans upheld by the members of the Korean Children’s Union.

They study hard with the dream and hope of becoming world-famous inventors and scientists to support the prosperity of their country with science.

Two years ago Kim Kwan Rok, a student of Changdok School, and other students showed science fiction models they had invented to the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un who visited the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace to see the New Year performance given by schoolchildren.

Many KCU members across the country presented excellent exhibits reflecting their dreams and ideals to the National Exhibition of Children’s Science Fiction Models and Inventions-2025 held on the occasion of the 79th birthday of the KCU.

Not a few KCU members have exalted the honour of their country at world Math Olympiad and artistic contests.

KCU members cultivate the spirit of valuing their organization, collective and comrades through the KCU organizational life.

The organizational life serves as a good course of bringing up KCU members to be young patriots who love their friends, teachers, schools, hometowns and the country as well as their own families.

The KCU organizations commend those members who have distinguished themselves in study, organizational life and do-good-thing movements.

Many schoolchildren across the country have won Kim Il Sung Children Honour Prize and Kim Jong Il Children Honour Prize over the past 10-odd years since the joint national meeting of the KCU organizations in celebration of its 66th birthday.
