Photo exhibition opens to mark 80th founding anniversary of KCU

A photo exhibition "Glorious 80 years of the Korean Children's Union in the great embrace" was opened with due ceremony at the People's Palace of Culture in Pyongyang on June 1 to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the KCU.

On display at the venue of the exhibition are photos showing the revolutionary exploits of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, the great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il and the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un who provided the precious tradition of the Juche-oriented children's movement and trained the rising generations into true sons and daughters and young revolutionaries who would shoulder the future of the country.

Attending the opening ceremony were Ju Chang Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.

Paek Un Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made an opening address.

The speaker referred to the fact that the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un showed great affection to make sure that events for marking the 80th KCU birthday are held with splendour amid the blessing of the whole country.

He stressed that all the KCU members should prepare themselves to be young revolutionaries boundlessly faithful to Marshal Kim Jong Un, competent revolutionary talents equipped with profound knowledge, good moral traits and strong physique and young patriots voluntarily doing good things helpful to the building of a prosperous country.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants looked round the exhibition venue.
