The players of the Naegohyang Team returned home on May 26 after winning the 2025-2026 AFC Women's Champions League.

In the champions league, which began in August last year, they scored 36 goals in total in nine matches from the preliminary stage to the final and won the league trophy.

They were warmly greeted at Pyongyang International Airport by senior officials of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the DPRK government, officials concerned and sportspersons and their families.

Officials and sportspersons put garlands around the necks of the players and coaches and presented bouquets to them, congratulating them on their success.

The women footballers left the airport on board a bus decorated with beautiful flowers.

Along the streets, Pyongyang citizens gave warm welcome to the reliable footballers who shook the Asian women's football circle again.
