DPRK players continue to be successful in 2026 Asian Weightlifting Championships
May 18, 2026DPRK players are winning gold medals every day in the 2026 Asian Weightlifting Championships.
On May 15, Song Kuk Hyang won three gold medals in the women's 69kg category by lifting 112kg in snatch, 151kg in clean and jerk (new world record and new Asian record) and 263kg in total.
Meanwhile, in the men's 88kg category, Ro Kwang Ryol won two gold medals in clean and jerk and total and a silver medal in snatch by lifting 167kg in snatch, 220kg in clean and jerk (new world record and new Asian record) and 387kg in total (new Asian record).
