It is because only when the younger generation who will take up the baton of the revolution are fully prepared, can the lifeline of the revolution be carried forward invariably despite the passage of time and the change of generations.

The Korean young people who support the leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea most faithfully are a source of strength of the DPRK.

The WPK saw the youth issue as a crucial one related to the success of the revolution and the existence of the state, always attached importance to the youth work and put forward young people as the most vigorous unit and main force of society.

The Korean young people demonstrated their might as the revolutionary vanguard in the sacred war for national liberation, the building of a new society, the fierce Fatherland Liberation War and the postwar reconstruction and grew up to be the patriotic youth fully displaying their wisdom and courage in the campaign to defend socialism and the building of a prosperous and powerful country. This is the brilliant fruit of the unique politics of attaching importance to young people, politics of love for and trust in them administered by the WPK.

The youth of the country uphold the Party's intention before anyone else and perform feats every day in difficult and labour-consuming workplaces.

Thanks to the reliable young people who absolutely support the Party's decisions and regard them as their revolutionary duty, the grand plan for comprehensive national rejuvenation unveiled by the Party is being translated into a brilliant reality.

The WPK has set an ambitious goal of overall development in the difficult economic situation of the country and advances to achieve it because it is determined to turn the dream and ideal of the young people into reality and firmly believes in their inexhaustible strength.

Therefore, young people have become a strong support and strength on which the WPK leans at all times and an advance unit in socialist construction it always trusts and puts forward.

It is the faith and will of the Korean young people to become patriotic youth who staunchly defend socialism and devote themselves to socialist construction.

They are now working miracles and making innovations at their workplaces for the overall development of socialist construction in the face of severe difficulties. They undertake difficult and uphill tasks and make breakthroughs, setting new standards and new records and performing feats in the flames of various mass movements including the youth shock brigade movement and the youth sub-workteam and workteam movements.

They also fully display the admirable traits of devoting themselves to the organization, the collective and their comrades and unsparingly dedicate their precious youth to the dignity and honour of the country.
