Senior Party and government officials celebrate May Day with working people
May 3, 2026The whole country was full of joy and optimism marking May Day, the international holiday of all working people throughout the world.
Senior officials of the Workers’ Party of Korean and the government visited factories and enterprises across the country on May 1 to significantly celebrate May Day together with working people.
Senior officials of the Party and government including Jo Yong Won, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and officials of the Party and government organs at all levels visited the Sangwon Cement Complex, Chollima Steel Complex, Pyongyang Thermal Power Station, Chonsong Youth Coal Mine of the Sunchon Area Youth Coal-mining Complex, Taean Heavy Machine Complex, Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex, Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, Kangdong Combined Greenhouse Farm, Pyongyang Construction Commission and State Academy of Sciences to congratulate the working people on the holiday.
The Party and government officials met and gave pep talks to labour innovators who are making a vigorous drive for setting new standards and records at their workplaces.
They asked the innovators to continue to glorify their honour as models and pioneers of the collective in the future, too.
They had a pleasant time with the working people watching their sports and amusement games.
