Factory set to produce more products favoured by residents

The Hwangju County Foodstuff Factory has achieved successes in developing and producing foodstuffs peculiar to the locality and favoured by its residents.

“When our factory was inaugurated, the residents of the county were very pleased to see various kinds of condiments and confectionery produced with its own brand ‘Kindungbol (Kindung Plain)’. We are focusing on developing new products while improving the quality of products to satisfy their expectations,” said Manageress Kim Ju Ok.

The factory concentrates its efforts on improving the quality of products and expanding their varieties.

The factory puts spurs to increasing the production of soy sauce, bean paste, oil and other condiments and improving their quality. 

To this end, its officials and employees make an intensive study of scientific and technological findings at the sci-tech learning space and pool efforts to expand and introduce them to suit the specific conditions of the factory, while putting strenuous efforts into improving the quality of condiments in cooperation with scientists at scientific research institutions.

The factory organizes a show of products of workteams every week as part of its effort to improve the quality of foodstuffs and produce more special products representing the region.

In the course of that, it developed lotus root preserved in honey, lotus root jam and bread filled with lotus root jam by using lotus roots which can be claimed to be a speciality of the county.

At present the factory produces dozens of kinds of condiments and confectionery favoured by the residents.
