The Hwangju County Garment Factory produces clothes to meet the tastes of local people by enhancing its employees’ skills.

“As spring has come, the factory is constantly receiving orders from residents and units for new clothes like jackets and suits. Accordingly, we’re increasing the indexes of clothes different in form and shape,” said Manageress Ri Yong Sun. 

The factory puts much efforts into making even a single product to meet the taste of residents. 

The relevant shop in the county, where the locals buy clothes, processes clothes to suit their measurements and taste. 

What is important in processing clothes is the technical skill of the producers, the manageress said, adding that the factory is directing big efforts to improving the technical knowledge and skills of its employees.

Many employees of the factory are newcomers who began to work there just after its inauguration. 

The factory established a system whereby each skilled worker takes charge of a newcomer to pass on technical skills to them and technical study is done for the newcomers for 30 minutes before they start work at workteams.

And it sees to it that employees search for advanced garment production technologies through their study in the sci-tech learning space and conducts a seminar every week.

As a result, all the employees have improved their technical knowledge and skills a level higher and the factory is producing clothes favoured by the people at will.
