Flower Festival-2026 closes
April 29, 2026The Flower Festival-2026 closed in the DPRK.
On display at the festival on the theme of "More Beautiful, More Fragrant" were flowering plants of good species, ornamental plants and products made of flowering trees and plants presented by many units and fanciers across the country.
Various kinds of ornaments, presented by the Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport, the Taehung Trading Guidance Bureau and other ministries and national agencies, floricultural stations in Taedonggang and Mangyongdae districts, the Sariwon Horticulture Institute and Youth Hotel, drew visitors' attention.
During the festival, there were diverse technical exchanges including an experience-sharing meeting and various service activities.
A closing ceremony took place at the Okryu Exhibition House on April 27.
Attending it were officials concerned, participants in the festival and working people in Pyongyang.
Kim Son Il, minister of Urban Management, made a closing speech.
The results of the festival jury were announced and diplomas awarded to the highly appreciated organizations, units and participants, including Pyongyang Municipality, North Hwanghae Province, Jagang Province, Kangwon Province, South Phyongan Province, North Phyongan Province, the Central Botanical Garden and the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League.
