Constant attention and strenuous efforts needed for land administration, environmental protection

April 23, 2026

Land administration and environmental protection are patriotic undertakings for the eternal prosperity of the country and important ones for protecting the lives and health of the people and beautifying the country.

This year long-term plans, which were newly drawn up concerning nationwide forest restoration, river improvement and environmental protection, are entering the phase of full-scale implementation.

Projects are dynamically being pushed forward to bring about regional changes and transformations in a multi-stage, three-dimensional and offensive way. Accordingly, afforestation is going on to contribute to economic development and the improvement of the people’s living standards in the relevant regions and on the principle of increasing the amount of resources.

Trees are planted on a mass basis in different parts of the country to create thick forests of economic value such as timber and oil-bearing forests and raw-material forests for paper production. Efforts are also being directed to minimizing the damage from forest fires, blights and landslides.

Manpower, vehicles and other means are concentrated on the building and reinforcement of embankments of rivers and streams and at the same time advanced technologies are widely applied to prevent the land erosion and river sedimentation caused by flood and ensure that rivers fully perform their ecological functions.

Appropriate measures have been taken to improve the overall technical conditions of roads including highways and tourist motorways, and roof greening and 3-D greening technologies introduced to radically increase the green area of cities and landscape them.

Reserves are also increased in number in different parts of the country to conserve biodiversity, and the protection and management of them are put on a scientific basis.

And measures are taken to establish an integral nationwide environment monitoring system, intensify regular measurement and analysis and minimize the damage and loss on the ecological environment.

The work for enhancing the capacity for sewage treatment and waste disposal, removing the sources of pollution of all kinds and restoring the damaged ecological environment is pressed on in a planned manner.

Constant attention and steady efforts should be directed to land administration and environmental protection as they do not produce results in a day.
