Russian FM denounces hostile acts by Japan, Ukraine

April 13, 2026

Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued a commentary on April 6 to censure Japan and Ukraine for their hostile acts.

Ukraine is using drones to systematically commit criminal provocations against civilian objects in the Russian territory, she said, stating that her country regards the cooperation between Japan and Ukraine in the field of drone manufacture as an undisguised hostile act infringing on the interests of the security field including the protection of peaceful residents.

Japan is becoming more deeply involved in the dispute over Ukraine by assisting the neo-Nazi Zelenskiy authorities, thereby steadily impairing its seriously-worsened relations with Russia, she noted.

She warned that military hardware threatening Russia and the relevant production facilities in Ukraine would become legitimate military targets of the Russian armed forces.
