A ceremony took place to start the new school year at the Korean Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities on April 1.

Present there were Jon Chol Hi, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled, officials concerned, children, nurses, kindergarten teachers and doctors of the rehabilitation centre and parents.

At the ceremony, Song Hyang Chun, director of the rehabilitation centre, made remarks to be followed by speeches.

The speakers said that the children with disabilities will enjoy a brighter and more cheerful life under the benefits of the grateful socialist system, expressing the resolve to fulfil their responsibility and duty in upholding the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea for protecting the disabled.

Then the participants looked round various places of the rehabilitation centre.
