Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a congratulatory message from Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh on March 25.

The message said:

Esteemed Your Excellency President,

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on my behalf and on behalf of the Mongolian people on your reelection as President of the State Affairs of the DPRK.

The Mongolian and Korean peoples have had long historical ties, and the DPRK is the second country that recognized our country in the international arena and established diplomatic relations with us.

The Mongolian people always remember the historic exploits performed by Their Excellencies Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the great leaders of the Korean people who provided the cornerstone of diplomatic relations between the two countries and contributed to bolstering up the bilateral cooperative relations, and will inherit and develop the precious relationship more wonderfully.

I am firmly convinced that the DPRK, where the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, which clarified the strategic goals and preferential development orientation of the state between 2026 and 2031, was successfully held under your courageous leadership, will further thrive and develop in the future, too.
