The DPRK embassy in Moscow hosted a reception on March 18 on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the conclusion of the agreement on economic and cultural cooperation between the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation.

Present there at invitation were Alexandr Kozlov, minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia, Mikhail Degtyarev, minister of Sports, and other figures of the Russian parliament, government and organizations, including the State Duma, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology, the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Public Health.

Ri Yong Jin, charge d'affaires ad interim of the DPRK embassy in Moscow, and staff members of the embassy were on hand.

The participants laid a flower basket and bouquets before a photo of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un and paid tribute to him.

Then they looked round photos dealing with the revolutionary careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and the undying exploits performed by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to develop the DPRK-Russia friendly relations, immortal works of the peerlessly great men and photos showing the tremendous might and eye-opening development of the DPRK.

Speeches were made there.

Ri Yong Jin said that the DPRK-Russia relations have been developed into the comprehensive strategic partnership and invincible alliance under the strategic guidance of the top leaders of the two countries, calling for boosting bilateral exchanges and cooperation in the practical stage for the implementation of the agreement reached at the historic summit.

Alexandr Kozlov referred to the significance of the conclusion of the agreement on economic and cultural cooperation between Russia and the DPRK, saying that the two countries are now advancing towards fresh victory and successes shoulder to shoulder.

The conclusion of the comprehensive strategic partnership treaty at the Russia-DPRK summit held in Pyongyang on June 19 2024 put the relations between the two countries on a new high level, he said, adding that the bilateral cooperation would grow stronger in all fields through joint efforts.

Mikhail Degtyarev expressed belief that the mutual cooperation in the field of sports would contribute to the development of sports of the two countries and the strengthening of the friendly relations between them, saying that the stand of Russia which has fully supported the Korean people in their struggle for defending the independence and sovereignty of their country and its rights to development would remain unchanged in the future, too.

The participants in the banquet toasted the health of Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the DPRK, and the health of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, president of the Russian Federation, and the development of the traditional DPRK-Russia friendly and cooperative relations.
