Graduating class students of senior middle schools in North Hamgyong Province have volunteered for forefront border military posts.

Those in Chongjin City vowed to steadily carry forward the tradition of victory of the great country at the posts of national defence by emulating the loyalty to the leader, bravery and patriotic spirit displayed by the defenders of the country in the 1950s.

Those in Kim Chaek City and Hwadae County also petitioned their youth league organizations to send them to the forefront military posts.

Those in Myongchon and Onsong counties joined the volunteers' ranks out of a resolve to defend the security of the country and the happiness of the people, always mindful of the request of their beloved alma maters and native places.

Meetings to cheer the volunteers took place in relevant cities and counties.

Speakers expressed their determination to perform military feats at the posts of national defence by carrying forward the patriotic spirit of the brave soldiers who unhesitatingly devoted their youth to the country and the people in the showers of bullets and shells during the Fatherland Liberation War, and the soldiers who participated in the overseas military operations.

The meetings were followed by the contests of the group march accompanied by wartime songs.

Officials, working people, youth and students encouraged the graduating class students of senior middle schools enthusiastically singing songs on the theme of the defence of the leader and the country, while flying high the national flags of the DPRK in the van of the ranks.
