Russian president sets tasks before anti-terrorism committee

Russian President Vladimir Putin made public a letter on March 10 to set forth the tasks facing the State Anti-terrorism Committee.

Noting that the State Anti-terrorism Committee played a key role in establishing and developing the nationwide anti-terrorist system, he said the work of the committee has a special meaning under the present situation where the global challenge is getting serious and the special military operations are under way.

He stressed the need for the committee to bolster up human and organizational potentials, actively introduce new forms and methods necessary for the struggle against terrorist threats and reliably ensure the security of the extremely important infrastructure objects and public gathering sites.

He expressed belief that the committee would successfully fulfil its duty and faithfully serve the country and people in the future, too.
