Russian presidential press secretary Dmitri Peskov at a press conference on March 8 denounced European countries for their attitude towards the energy blackmail of Ukraine.

He warned that the Ukrainian authorities’ threat and blackmail as to the Druzhba pipeline would strike every European in one way or another and the European economy would face grave consequences.

Though European nations would definitely know about it, they are staying mum for some reason, he said.

Since Ukraine destroyed the Druzhba pipeline in January, a serious friction has been going on between Ukraine and Hungary and Slovakia, which were supplied with Russian crude oil through the pipeline.
