Stamp exhibition opens

A stamp exhibition opened with due ceremony at the Korean Stamp Exhibition House in Pyongyang on March 12 in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the issue of the first stamps in the DPRK.

Displayed at the exhibition on the theme of "Looking back on the 80-year history of Korean stamps" are more than 1 400 kinds of stamps and securities with their issuing dates. They show the proud history of Korean stamps.

Also on display are other stamps of various themes and forms presented by philatelists in Pyongyang.

Attending the opening ceremony were Ju Yong Il, minister of Information Industry, officials concerned and philatelists in Pyongyang.

Also present were foreign guests including members of the diplomatic missions in the country.
