China decries Australia's infringement of sovereignty
March 11, 2026A spokesman for the Chinese Defense Ministry at a press conference on March 6 expressed the stand to safeguard the national sovereignty and security.
He disclosed that an Australian warship recently sent its military helicopter to the waters around China several times to conduct approach reconnaissance and commit ceaseless provocations and thus infringed upon the national security of China.
The Chinese army responded with a prompt measure to Australia’s acts of violating the sovereignty of China and disturbing peace, which fully conforms to international law, he noted.
He strongly demanded Australia stop spreading false information and disturbing and undermining the regional peace and stability, stressing that China will never connive at any acts of infringing upon its national sovereignty and security but will surely counter them in a determined manner.
