OIC rejects Israel’s expansionist moves

March 5, 2026

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation held an emergency meeting on February 26 to reject Israel’s moves to expand its territory.

The meeting strongly denounced Israel’s bid to expand the construction of Jewish settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory and decided to take political and legal measures to check it.

The meeting expressed serious concern over the ever-escalating tension and the use of coercive rhetoric in the Middle East. It warned that the escalation of military tension would entail grave and unpredictable consequences to the regional and global peace and security.

The meeting reaffirmed that Palestine’s territory should cover the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
