March 1, 2026A Pyongyang municipal military-civilian meeting and a public procession for implementing the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea took place with splendour at
Taking the platform were Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, and other members of the Party central leadership.
Attending the meeting were the participants in the Ninth Party Congress, officials of ministries and national agencies, officials, working people, service personnel, youth and students in Pyongyang, and members of the congratulatory groups of Koreans in Japan and the General Association of Koreans in China.

Stressing the basic idea and spirit of the Ninth Congress of the WPK, he said that a decisive guarantee for steadily advancing toward the attainment of a far-reaching ideal in the face of challenges and trials lies in thoroughly implementing the five-point requirements of the times for comprehensive development, set forth by the Party Central Committee, under the uplifted banner of the three revolutions, ideological, technological and cultural, the general line of the WPK.
He called upon everyone to redouble their efforts full of patriotic enthusiasm in order to accelerate the dynamic struggle for successful implementation of the decisions of the Ninth Congress of the WPK and for prosperity and development of the DPRK, the glorious motherland.
Then, speeches were made by Kim Yong Gun, vice-minister of National Defence, and Jo Chol Jun, chairman of the Pyongyang municipal committee of the youth league.
