Chinese FM denounces US’ oppression
February 8, 2026A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry at a press conference on February 2 censured the US for oppressing Chinese citizens.
Chinese citizens were recently detained for nearly 60 hours after being under groundless investigation during their entry into the US before being sent home. In this regard, the spokesman said that China expresses strong dissatisfaction with that and resolutely opposes it.
He urged the US to immediately stop oppressing Chinese citizens and stressed the government’s stand to firmly defend the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens.
