The prime minister of Qatar visited Iran on January 31 to discuss the issue of regional peace and stability at the time when the US is reinforcing its armed forces in the Middle East and increasing the level of its threat against Iran.

It is necessary to direct efforts to protecting the regional people from the escalation of tension, continue cooperation with friendly and fraternal countries and resolve disagreement through diplomatic means, he said.

He reaffirmed his country's stand to support all efforts aimed at providing a peaceful solution and easing tension.
