Russian President mentions foreign policy line
January 22, 2026Russian President Vladimir Putin referred to the foreign policy line of his country in a diplomatic meeting on January 15.
He expressed concern that today, cooperation is retrogressing in the international arena and unilateral and extremely dangerous acts are getting more rampant, in place of diplomacy, agreement and compromise.
He said that he could hear the monologue of those who regard it as a possibility for those with no authority to impose their will on others and admonish and order others to follow their intention, instead of having dialogue between countries.
Russia is sincerely faithful to the idea of a multipolar world and will continue as ever to pursue a scrupulous and constructive foreign policy line taking into account not only national interests but objective trend of global development, he stated.
Saying that the security of one country cannot be ensured at the sacrifice of other’s security, he emphasized that to neglect such vital and important basic principle specified in major documents of international law has never brought about good results and will never do so in future, too.
