The Jikha Atlantic Salmon Pedigree Farm was inaugurated in North Hamgyong Province.

The construction of the pedigree farm with all conditions including an office building and hatching and fry breeding grounds laid another material and technical foundation for breeding Atlantic salmon more actively on the east coast of the country.

Its inauguration ceremony took place on January 16.

Present there were Ri Chol Man, vice-premier of the Cabinet and chairman of the Agricultural Commission, Pak Myong Ho, chairman of the North Hamgyong Provincial People's Committee, officials concerned, officials of the provincial fishery management bureau, and officials and employees of the pedigree farm.

Song Chun Sop, minister of Fisheries, addressed the ceremony.

That day, a performance was given in celebration of the inauguration of the farm.
