Russian permanent representative to UN warns Ukrainian authorities
January 18, 2026Vasili Nebenja, permanent representative of Russia to the UN, referred to the Ukrainian issue at a UN Security Council meeting on January 12.
With regard to the issue of talks for peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian dispute, he said that Russia would solve the assigned tasks by force of arms unless the boss of Kiev would come to his senses and accept the realistic conditions for talks.
Russia has already warned Zelensky that as time passes, the conditions for talks would get worse for Ukraine and that the vicious attacks against peaceful Russian citizens would be followed by harsh counteractions, he noted.
