In the course of informatizing itself in keeping with the modern trend of educational development, the school made enormous strides in putting education on a scientific basis and modernizing it by building an integrated educational information management system, teaching administration management system, extracurricular study support system, question-and-answer system based on an educational robot and others.

“The educational information system and IT products of the school are very effective in enhancing the abilities of students and improving the quality of teaching administration and education,” said deputy principal Ri Son Yong.

The school uses a self-learning and ability assessment system for students and it proves very effective in developing the abilities of students.

According to Ri Yong Il, head of an office of the school, the system analyzes in real time the intellectual standards of students according to the course of solving problems to be presented while intelligently changing their conditional values to create an environment for the guidance of study suitable for individual students. The abilities of students have improved since it introduced the system, he added.

The school encourages students to assemble different kinds of robots by applying the bio-mimic technology and write control programs for them so that they can develop their power of observation and creative abilities in the course of it.

The question-and-answer program based on the Korean language speech recognition technology is popular with students as it supports their self-learning of all subjects.

The school has a greenhouse in which a food production cycle combining vegetable cultivation and fish farming has been introduced. It is effectively used for biological experiment and practice of students and supply service as well.

The watering time, indoor temperature and others are automatically controlled by an information processing system and cucumber, rape, lettuce and other vegetables grow even in winter in the greenhouse.

Kim Song Ho, head of the biology and chemistry department, said that lots of fishes are bred in a small fish breeding ground near the greenhouse and a nutrient solution is made with the water containing fish excrement to be used for vegetable cultivation, while the water purified in this course is sent back to the fish breeding ground.
