Cameroonian leader expresses concern over deepening crises and conflicts across world
January 14, 2026The Cameroonian President warned that the crises and conflicts that are worsening all across the world constitute great threats to the existing international system in an annual ceremony held to mark the New Year on January 8.
Despite the efforts of the international community, the world is still floundering in the morass of terrorism, infringement of national sovereignty and weak will to honour international law, he said, asserting that if such a situation persists, the international system might finally collapse.
He stressed the importance of settling conflicts through dialogue and reconciliation.
