The Mexican president rejected the US’ attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of her country at a press conference on January 5.

Noting that the US is persistently threatening to dispatch troops into Mexican territory under the pretext of combating drug crime, she said Mexico does not feel the need to come face to face with the US.

She stressed that cooperation in the field of security should be based on mutual respect and subjugation-free assistance among countries.
