Palestinian president refers to the founding of state
January 3, 2026Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in a statement on December 31 2025 mentioned the issue of establishing an independent state of Palestine.
He said that the founding of an independent state is inevitable, adding that the Palestinians are invariably advancing towards freedom and independence.
The Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank are stiffly resisting the cruellest war of massacre and genocide in modern history, he said, stressing they would neither yield and leave their homeland nor accept the Israeli plan for annexation and forcible removal.
The Gaza Strip would be reconstructed as part of the State of Palestine, he affirmed.
