On New Year's Day warm affection was shown for children by the benevolent father who represents the bright smile of them, the hope and future of the DPRK, as the image of Korean-style socialism.

The respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un on January 1 met with the schoolchildren participating in the New Year performance in 2026 and warmly wished them bright future.

The venue of the photo session was filled with the schoolchildren's deep emotion and joy of meeting the fatherly Marshal, whom they had longed to see even in their dreams, on New Year's Day, the happiest day in the world.

When he arrived at the venue, members of the Korean Children's Union presented fragrant bouquets to him in reflection of the deep thanks and New Year greetings of all the schoolchildren across the country.

Acknowledging the enthusiastic cheers, he extended warm greetings to all the schoolchildren across the country greeting the New Year.

He met the KCU members who exalted the honour of the country with gold medals and set examples in the study, organizational life and good-conduct movement.

He wished the schoolchildren, who grow up into intelligent and courageous persons as they dream of demonstrating the honour of Korea and acquire practical knowledge to add more lustre to the country, a rosy future.

He said that the looks of the upright and gallant successors and reserves, who love the socialist country most and will develop it to be the best country in the world, and their brisk footsteps are just the power and valiant spirit of vibrant Korea, and had a photo taken with those schoolchildren participating in the New Year performance, hoping that they would sing to their heart’s content of their great ambition, will of succession, budding ideals and surging passion.

He met with the leading members of an art troupe of Korean schoolchildren in Japan who visited their socialist homeland, and called upon them to train the rising generations of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan to be the reliable pillars who would carry forward the baton of the patriotic cause.
