Chinese FM spokesman denounces Japan’s moves to revive militarism
December 18, 2025A spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry condemned Japan for its moves to revive militarism at a press conference on December 10.
Japan has not fully reflected on its war of aggression since the end of the Second World War but beautified its history of aggression with the visits of its different prime ministers and other political figures to the Yasukuni Shrine housing the name tablets of A-class war criminals and improved the “capability to attack enemy bases” while being hell-bent on revising the “Pacifist Constitution”, he said.
Japanese militarism has never been completely liquidated but dreamed of revival while persisting in insidious manoeuvrings, he added.
China calls upon all peace-loving countries to sharpen vigilance against and check any dangerous moves to revive Japanese militarism, he noted.
