Schoolchildren gathered at the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace in Pyongyang on December 16 to tell stories about the noble virtues of Chairman Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of his demise.

The storytellers praised the undying exploits of Kim Jong Il who brightly illuminated the road ahead of the Korean Children's Union (KCU) in each period of the developing revolution and trained the schoolchildren to be stalwart successors and reserves of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

They said that in his middle school days he instilled into schoolchildren the firm faith in President Kim Il Sung and led them to be true sons and daughters and reliable pillars of the country firmly trusting and following him.

They noted that though the Chairman took naps and ate rice-balls on his constant journeys for the revolutionary leadership, he spared nothing for the students of Mangyongdae Revolutionary School, adding that his loving care and benevolence are kept in the school's history and in the hearts of the children of revolutionary martyrs.

They said that the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un is the benevolent father of all the KCU members across the country as he devotes his all to bringing bright smile and happiness to schoolchildren by putting forward the work for younger generations as the foremost state affair, the most important affair.

Present at the meeting were youth league officials and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.
