Workers and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) met at the Central Hall of Workers in Pyongyang on December 15 to hear stories of Chairman Kim Jong Il’s noble virtues on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of his demise.

The storytellers praised the immortal revolutionary career and exploits of the Chairman who regarded it as his lifelong cause to build a powerful and prosperous people’s country on this land and made a long patriotic journey for the people with his iron will and indefatigable energy.

They told the audience about the fact that the Chairman set a noble example in managing equipment and improving technical control during his practice at the Pyongyang Textile Machine Factory in the days when he was conducting revolutionary activities at Kim Il Sung University.

A story dealt with the undying devotion and painstaking efforts of the Chairman who visited the Pyongyang Wheat Flour Processing Factory despite the intense cold of midwinter in order to lead its officials and workers to improve the quality and hygienic safety of foodstuffs in the spirit of devotedly serving the people.

Some other storytellers said that they could never forget the image of the tender-hearted Chairman who expressed his great satisfaction during his field guidance at the Central Tree Nursery under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection which turned into a modern tree nursery.

Among the audience were officials of the Central Committee of the GFTUK and officials and members of the GFTUK and workers in Pyongyang.
