The Mindulle Paper Mill on the banks of the Taedong River has been remodelled.

The mill, a labour-, water- and site-saving enterprise, is furnished with various kinds of measuring equipment and experimental apparatuses and cultural and welfare facilities for employees. Its production processes have been automated and streamlined.

The remodelling of the comprehensive paper production base capable of leading the development of the country's paper industry laid the material and technical foundations for producing not only paper for notebooks but also that for different other purposes.

An inaugural ceremony took place on the spot on December 5.

Present at the ceremony were Ju Chang Il, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the Mindulle Management Bureau and the mill and its employees.

Pak Pyong Ho, director of the bureau, delivered an inaugural address to be followed by speeches.

At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the mill.
