Japan openly reveals its true looks as war state
November 4, 2025Japan has grown ever more undisguised in its moves to possess the capability for preemptive attack.
It has recently launched another 3 000-ton attack submarine.
It was the sixth of the new-type submarine series, the first of which was commissioned in 2022.
Earlier, the Japanese Ministry of Defense announced that it started mass production of type 12 surface-to-sea missile, whose range was increased and which was remodelled to be launched in the sea, and submarine-launched missile.
The ground-launched version of type 12 surface-to-sea missile and the high-speed glide bomb have already gone into mass production.
The missile unit that would operate these preemptive attack means targeting other countries and regions has been reinforced and its deployment site has already been confirmed.
In addition, Japan secured the US’ approval for the sale of air-to-air intermediate-range missiles and air-to-surface long-range cruise missiles worth billions of US dollars early this year.
It also tries to execute its plan to introduce hundreds of Tomahawk cruise missiles ahead of schedule in the current fiscal year.
The Maritime "Self-Defense Force" has already begun the operation drill and the Aegis destroyer to carry those missiles was dispatched to the US for remodelling the warship and training its crew.
It is a dangerous act for Japan, a war criminal state, to brazenly adopt preemptive attack on other countries as a policy and speed up the development and introduction of its means.
Japan has styled itself a "pacifist state" while talking about "exclusive defense" so far, but now, quite contrary to that, it is running amuck to possess the capability for preemptive attack. This is not an inevitable option to cope with the situation around it.
This is the goal Japan has persistently pursued since it had gradually pulled down the barriers to rearmament and turned into the road of becoming a military giant and the core item of its preparations for reinvasion.
It was only two years after the SDF was set up that the Japanese government expressed its view that "it does not think it is the purport of the constitution that it has to sit and wait for self-destruction".
This clearly shows that the revanchist forces of Japan had set the aim of military resurgence at possessing the capability for preemptive attack from the start.
Basing themselves on this argument, the successive Japanese governments misled the public with such an absurd interpretation that the possession of the capability to attack enemy bases is within the limits of "self-defense" and resorted to every possible means to this end.
When Japan stipulated the possession of the capability for preemptive attack in the national security strategy, the national defense strategy and others by using the crafty phrase "counterattack capability", it also offered the government view adopted more than 60 years ago as a reason.
It is the cunning and inveterate bad habit of the Japanese authorities to magnify the rumours of "threat from other countries" and use it as a pretext for turning Japan into a military power.
It is none other than Japan that has complicated and escalated the regional situation gradually while exaggerating the self-defensive measures of neighbouring countries as "threats".
The overall operational radius of the Ground, Maritime and Air "Self-Defense Forces" has expanded far beyond its boundary.
Under the circumstances, Japan is giving a powerful spur to the massive development, production and introduction of preemptive attack means. What does it mean?
It means that Japan threw off its mask of a “pacifist state” and is more openly revealing its true looks as a war state.
Its reckless acts cannot but further heighten the vigilance of the international community and will inevitably result in exposing the whole archipelago to the strong punishment by neighbouring countries as a common target.
