Outreach medical teams’ activities gain momentum
November 3, 2025Medical workers of central-level hospitals are conducting intense outreach medical service activities.
According to data available, the medical teams which consist of medical workers of central-level preventive and curative institutions have provided intensive outreach medical services at major industrial establishments in different sectors of the national economy and in residential areas since early this year.
Medical workers of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital, Kim Man Yu Hospital, Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences Hospital and others provided medical services to workers and technicians at the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill, Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill and Pyongyang Thermal Power Station.
The similar medical team of the Okryu Children’s Hospital conducted a comprehensive check-up for smelters of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex and their children. And according to the results of the examination, they drew up the plans for the treatment of children, youth and smelters to actively provide them with medical services.
They diagnosed various diseases occurring among smelters and children and treated them with all sincerity. In this course, a smelter’s daughter, who had had chronic digestive trouble and an abdominal surgical condition, were cured of diseases.
Meanwhile, they informed students and their parents of common knowledge of hygiene and health in plain language, giving them substantial assistance in their health care and protection.
Medical workers of the Ryugyong Dental Hospital actively employed advanced treatment methods to treat scientists and technicians at the Academy of Agricultural Science in all sincerity.
Those of the Kim Man Yu Hospital and Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital conducted hygienic information activities in various forms while providing preventive and curative medical care at the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex and in the neighbouring residential area.
Witnessing the medical workers providing them with medicines and imparting common knowledge of heath to them in plain language, the workers said that they experienced the true features of the socialist health system whereby medical workers visit people.
Many working people and inhabitants, who had experienced the great medical skills and deep sincerity of the medical teams, said that they were really encouraged as doctors of central-level hospitals visited and treated them and that they more keenly felt the gratitude for the socialist country.
Shortly ago, medical workers of central-level hospitals conducted medical service activities in different counties of Ryanggang Province in the northern part of the country.
Those of the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital visited dozens of villages of Kim Hyong Jik and Kim Jong Suk counties to examine the health of hundreds of women and take measures to diagnose and treat women with diseases. Those of the Koryo Medicine General Hospital examined the health of the inhabitants of Phungso County, found a woman suffering from an incurable disease for the past ten years and devotedly treated her, thus invigorating her.
Medical workers of the Pyongyang University of Medical Sciences Hospital, Okryu Children’s Hospital and Kim Man Yu Hospital also taught local counterparts advanced medical science and technology and diverse treatment methods and told them about their rich clinical experience, thus enabling them to prove successful in clinical practice.
