Innovations are being made in improving the quality of school uniforms under the loving care of the Workers’ Party of Korea that gives prominence to the rising generations.

According to information available, nine rounds of national school uniform show have taken place in the past since the guidelines on the body measurement of students for the production of school uniforms were distributed across the country in February 2023. Excellent techniques and experience were exchanged and disseminated between provinces and factories, thus bringing about great achievements in improving the quality of uniforms for different school types.

In order to make the shows a new springboard for improving the quality of school uniforms, the Ministry of Regional Industry has intensified organizational work to detail the evaluation items and judgment methods and to improve the method of operation.

In April 2023, numerous school uniform producers across the country presented spring and summer uniforms for male and female students and pupils to the first school uniform show.

The participants unanimously said that they could get a better understanding of the quality of school uniforms produced by their units while watching those on display and getting an objective and fair appraisal of the public.

During the show, the officials and skilled workers in the garment production sector actively shared and disseminated excellent experience and techniques, such as the skills of processing different parts of dresses, spring-autumn suits and skirts as well as the problems arising in design.

With the first school uniform show as a momentum, the campaign for overtaking, learning from and swapping experience between provinces and between school uniform production units was conducted more briskly across the country to improve the quality of school uniforms, and its vitality was clearly demonstrated at subsequent shows.

The ninth school uniform show was held last September.

The atmosphere of the show was unprecedentedly revved up as school uniform factories of different provinces presented more than 400 pieces of jigs in over 30 kinds which were invented and introduced in the course of conducting the mass technical innovation movement throughout the year.

Ri Sun, department director of the Ministry of Regional Industry, said that the improved appearance of the uniforms shows that the processing was put on a higher level as compared with last year, adding that the quality of most of the uniforms has been raised considerably.

The officials of the garment production sector from all provinces, who took part in the show, made a firm determination to make sincere efforts to produce and supply school uniforms of best quality true to the intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

An official of the Phyongsong School Uniform Factory, which has consecutively taken a leading position in the quality assessment rankings every year, said that the strides made in improving the quality of school uniforms were attributable to the shows, adding that he would continue to explore and apply advanced technologies and excellent experience and thus retain the leading position in the future.

An official of the Hamhung School Uniform Factory said that the more they take part in the shows, the better their abilities and qualifications get and the higher the quality of the school uniforms gets, adding they would present better uniforms next year by developing and perfecting practical processing methods they have learned in the recent show.

The officials of the school uniform production units are continuously directing big efforts to steadily raising the effectiveness of the school uniform shows in order to further improve the quality of the school uniforms.
