A reception was given on October 12 for overseas Koreans who visited their homeland in celebration of the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Present there at invitation were the congratulatory group of Koreans in Japan, the congratulatory group of the General Association of Koreans in China, the congratulatory group of the International Social Confederation of Koreans, the delegations carrying the letters of loyalty sent by the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and the General Association of Koreans in China, the delegation of Koreans in China and the delegation of Korean social scientists in Japan for celebrating the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK.

Present there were Ri Son Gwon, department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, and officials concerned.

Ri Son Gwon made a speech at the reception.

The speaker congratulated the compatriots who had the honour of significantly celebrating the 80th founding anniversary of the WPK in the presence of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

He expressed belief that all overseas Koreans would, in the future too, firmly believe in and follow only the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who put the DPRK on the apex of the century as a powerful and dignified country and is leading the great historic cause of realizing the people's ideal to victory, and wholeheartedly advance along the road of patriotism.
