A banquet was given at the Mokran House on August 15 to mark the 80th anniversary of national liberation.

Senior Party and government officials attended the banquet together with meritorious persons of socialist patriotism.

The national anthem of the DPRK was played.

Pak Thae Song, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and premier of the DPRK Cabinet, made a speech.

He warmly congratulated the participants who were invited to the banquet for celebrating the 80th anniversary of national liberation with the pride of having achieved excellent successes which contribute to the prosperity of the country and the promotion of the people’s well-being at their revolutionary posts, true to the policies and plan of the Party and the government.

He affirmed that they would remain faithful to the idea and spirit of the twenty-year anti-Japanese war and of the outset of nation building to the last and steadily write a new brilliant history of building a thriving country with a devoted patriotic struggle and excellent results to exalt the great country of the people to the world.

All the participants toasted the eternal progress of the great country.
