Russian president says: BRICS gets stronger
July 11, 2025Russian President Vladimir Putin said on July 6 that BRICS is getting stronger as he spoke at the BRICS summit meeting he attended by way of video-conferencing.
BRICS member states account for one third of the area of the Earth, nearly half of the world population and 40 percent of the world economy, while their GDP based on the purchasing power parity indexes has reached US$77 trillion, he said, noting that BRICS far surpasses a series of federations of nations including G7 in such indicators.
At present, BRICS has grown markedly to have great political, economic and sci-tech potentials, he said, asserting that the focus of business circles has turned to the market of developing countries, which promotes the strong economic growth of BRICS countries.
All facts show that the liberal globalization is already outdated and the unipolar system of international relations, which has promoted the interests of “golden billion”, has been exhausted to be replaced by a fair multipolar world order, he stressed.
