Teachers strive to specialize in over two subjects

The school inspired teachers whose specialized qualifications were recognized as excellent through an inspection of a class at work and ability assessments to also specialize in other subjects.

Priority is given to this issue in all reviews including assessment of teachers’ abilities and section-specific ranking.

As a result, the teachers tried hard to improve their specialized qualifications and specialize in more than two other subjects.

Last year, several of them were rated as excellent at another subjects teaching contest and a symposium on relevant teaching methods.

The school is now pushing ahead with the work in a more methodological way with the firm viewpoint that only when teachers are prepared in an all-round way can they train students into all-round talents.

Under well-organized research system

Pyongyang Teachers Training College has established a well-organized research system to spur the turning of itself into a research university.

The college has organized research groups in a rational way in order to establish a spirit of research and research system. What is noticeable is that the groups are not specialized ones but include teachers and students specializing in different subjects including mathematics and IT.

After the groups intensified research respectively, research results were presented and opinions were synthesized every day.

As group consultative meetings have regularly taken place as a routine, substantial progress has been made in research.

The measure provides promising educators with an opportunity to demonstrate their competence, further heightening the spirit of research in the campus.

The results of research based on excellent ideas are being introduced as samples and standards.
