The Korean schoolchildren, who are preparing themselves into the pillars of the future while cultivating their beautiful dreams and hopes to their heart’s content in the great socialist country where a new era of comprehensive national rejuvenation is being ushered in, significantly celebrated the 79th anniversary of the founding the Korean Children’s Union.

All the people sent warm congratulations to the schoolchildren throughout the country, being convinced of the bright future of the country through the vigorous appearance of the rising generations who are preparing themselves as the future pillars of thriving Korea and reserve of communist construction while proudly fluttering the red tie of the KCU.

KCU members from all parts of the country visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il to pay floral tribute and made a deep bow to them.

Marking the 79th KCU birthday, provincial, city and county youth league committees and KCU organizations of schools held joint national meetings, general meetings and meetings of child activists of noble virtue and meetings of schoolchildren to talk about their pride.

Performances, dances and sports and amusement games of schoolchildren were held throughout the country, adding to the joy of the holiday.

Leading Party and government officials in provinces, cities and counties congratulated KCU members who were celebrating the June 6 holiday.

Pyongyang Middle School for Orphans, Hamhung Middle School for Orphans, Phyongsong Primary School for Orphans, Moranbong Middle School No. 1, Ri Pok Jae Senior Middle School in Hyongjesan District, Janggyong Primary School in Sosong District, Singye Senior Middle School in Singye County, Haeun Primary School in Haeju City, Kyesung Primary School in Hanggu District affiliated to Nampho Teachers Training College, Tonghyon Primary School in Kaesong City and many other schools in all parts of the country conducted a variety of sports and amusement games.
